RV LIFE OVERVIEW:

RV life app focuses on helping RV’s find what they want when camping. It has both a free tier and a paid premium tier called RV life pro. RV Life offers software tools such as: “RV Trip Wizard,” “RV Life GPS,” the “Campgrounds” app, and “Maintain my RV.” Starting with RV Trip Wizard, which helps you plan your trip using a web-based trip planning tool. The RV Trip Wizard application supports GPS and lists campgrounds in the app. It can function on its own, helping you find an RV safe route to a local campground without needing a connection to the internet. “Maintain my RV” provides a web-based maintenance tracking tool that you log into with your web browser. You plug your RV details into the application, and it will keep everything all in one place. Always a convenient tool when things inevitably go missing.

RV LIFE PRICING

RV TRIP PRICING AND PAID FEATURES:

RV Trip Pro offers a seven-day trial that you can use to evaluate if you like the product. After the seven days are up, you will be charged annually. RV Trip Pro costs $19.99 a month or $59.99 a year. The yearly option is the best if you know you will use the app for more than three months. The monthly option for one year is $120, whereas the Annual plan at $59.99 will save you $60 compared to the monthly plan over one year.

For that $59.99, RV Trip Pro feature highlights are the ability to filter campgrounds, read reviews, view ratings, photos, plus more once you decide on a location. You can tap destinations to choose directions and verify your RV fits. While on the road, RV LIFE has a “Search and Explorer” option. Search and Explore is an excellent tool for finding Campgrounds, Rest Areas, and fuel when you are in a pinch. It displays nearby campgrounds about an hour away, followed by two hours, etc. The idea is to make this information as automatic and handy as possible for quick decision-making. It uses your current exact GPS location at the moment to give you accurate readings.

RV LIFE App links with the cloud, so you can use the website to plan your trips on a large screen. Take your time coming up with a detailed itinerary and then switch to the mobile app and see your entire trip ready in the palm of your hand to take with you on the road. Everything you do is backed up on the cloud and saved to your account, so nothing gets lost if your device takes a dunk in a lake. You can also save your route on your phone if you go deep into the backwoods and are away from any internet connection. On the same theme: while on the road or in an unfamiliar area, you can download all the map data to your mobile device.

Thor’s Togo Group AKA TOGO APP

The Togo group that operates the Togo RV app has purchased Campendium, and has integrated it into its offerings. The TOGO Group has thousands of user-submitted reviews of campgrounds and boondocking. Togo RV APP allows you to search using many different parameters like the price, type of hookups, and various site amenities. A Brief History of the Togo group. TOGO is operated as a joint venture between New Zealand’s limited tourism holdings and thor industries. Togo’s primary goal is to make it easier to own and maintain an RV or to take a road trip. TOGO has been growing over the past few years by rapidly expanding offerings by either creating their features or acquiring respected companies (the most prominent being road trippers.)

TOGO also added a host of discounts for tires, lithium batteries, etc. TOGO App Features turn-by-turn RV-specific GPS navigation. TOGO offers a road trip planning software called RV trip wizard. These provide real value for the on-the-go road warrior, camper van user, or RV Aficionado.  (Psst: Looking for Internet on the go read up on unlimitedville.)

WHICH APP IS THE BEST:

Both TOGO and RV LIFE are amazing apps. Both have similarities and plenty of overlap both in their user interface and in features. But if your cost is the only factor then hands down RoadPass is the clear winner. If your looking for Pound-for-pound in-app weight then RV Life is the clear winner. If your looking for the best of the best including the ecosystem then there is no competition. TOGO wins handily with access to tons of sister site resources that push it that much over the top compared to the competition.
